The French Alps are part of the largest mountain chain in Europe and home for the highest peaks in the continent - such as the majestic and hypnotizing Mont Blanc, 4,810m high. The beautiful forests of coniferous trees in the Northern Alps host some of the most special and awarded European ski resorts, such as Chamonix, Megève, Val d'Isère, Méribel and the glamorous Courchevel. 

Besides being commonly related to winter resorts and skiing, the French Alps are actually perfect for leisure and outdoor activities the whole year round. Its natural parks and pristine lakes and rivers are outstanding scenarios not only for skiing, but hiking, rafting, mountain biking, mountaineering and potholing too. 

The region is also home to adorable towns and villages, such as Grenoble, Annecy, Chambéry - and, of course, the worldwide famous thermal baths from Évian-les-Bains.
